Hey everyone!

Thank you for reading this today, i come to you from tallahassee florida! woo! haha im not moving anywhere for transfers! yay! me and sister garten are staying together woop woop! This week has had so many events all jamed packed into seven days... weird!! so we taught our mailman this past monday night, and he had invited 2 other people... and they had come to bash us! like hard core, we couldnt even say much. they would ask us a question and we would answer it and testify than they would be like "NO!" and they were flipping through the bible bringing up scriptures like it was toilet paper! phew craziness! we looked at each other and knew what to do. we needed to leave, now. so we testified of the Book of Mormon, and shared the first vision. they yelled... no not yelled but said very meanly Blasphemy! who says that! haha aweful! it was aweful!! they didn't believe that God would come down to people, in the bible it says... and you shouldn't add on to the bible because here it says... etc etc etc. we tried our best! we tried to direct the spirit towards the mailman, because he wasn't even speaking a lot. hmmm  how can i put it so you'll feel it more... its like trying to talk to someone who won't stop talking, and they just get louder everytime you try to say something. SO we testified and left. we got into the car and just cried. and cried all the way home. then cried some more. i have officially learned that when im crying, i can not say a prayer out loud! awful! i just can do it without crying even harder. so sis g had to finish my prayer for me :) she is so sweet! over all it was hard! they are so hard hearted and their ears were deaf for they did not listen to anything we said, the spirit was in our hearts trying to comfort us. He is so sweet. but it didn't touch those people. It was even worse when they outspokenly, bluntly and rudley yelled blasphemy in our faces. we could really see how close to God with there lips they were and how far away they were to God with their hearts. they would say one thing and say another then act another way! it was really sad. so sad. and the weird thing is. they invited us back...? A few days later we went back. (i know so dumb) but there was something in the mailman that he needed to hear. we brought a convert Kathy Lopez. it was just the mailman this time. his questions were hard to answer and we dont feel like we answered them very well. he more or less just wanted to prove which church was right. we met his adorable wife :) and the really cool part was that 2 years ago elders gave him a Book of Mormon, and he kept it. he brought it out! we told him that he could read things about the Book of Mormon forever but never know the truth of it until he reads the actual Book of Mormon! he wasn't ready for the gospel now. but i know for a surety that somday he will. Its strange how i know. but its like when we were at sister bowdens house and she was sobbing because she found out she doesn't have much longer to live and what not, i know that everything will be ok! i know that our mailman and his family will get baptized one day! and it will be awweessoommmee!!!!!!!!!

We also had a sister conference!! wooo!! wednesday night all the sisters in our mission came together! there is 42 of us right now. and pres jensen and sis jensen fed us all and gangus grill! yummmm! than we met and had like a talent night :) no i didnt do anything... im talent shy! hahahaha  then we had 4 sisters come sleep with us in our apt! SLEEPOVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so fun!! oh my! i took pictures of so many sisters!! awesome awesome!! me and sis g gave up all the beds and our couch and we slept on the floor. earlier that week we taught about how we always fall alseep on the floor! but i dont know what happened. that night was aweful! we couldn't sleep very well, and we just giggled and laughed about it for a while! ya know how when your suppost to be quiet and asleep, everything just gets super funny? yep that is what happened! hahahah awesome. it was a bad idea to sleep on the floor but oh well :) the conference was awesome!! ill attach some quotes and stuff i got out of it thats in my planner :) so our cute little gator gabriel! he came to church yesterday! he loved it! and some of the young men gave him ties to wear next sunday! how cute! i love it!! he loves church!! yessss! so on thursdays we have weekly planning where we plan for the next week and we have prayed and felt that 3 people are ready to be baptized this next transfer!!!3!!!!!!! oh my!!!!! so were feelin it! and we have SO much work to do!! no time to play! haha jk i love it!

being a missionary is so dang fun! woooo!!

We had a ward festival activity saturday! so much fun! face paint, snow cones, hot dawgs. arm wrestling!!!! elder rhoades and elder mchperson arm wrestled and elder mcpherson won hahaha then me and sis g arm wrestled.... I WON!!!!!! wooo! i think she let me win though.. not sure bout that though, she wasn't too happy.... awkward... hahaha i was laughing! im so muscular!!  oh my so much fun!! we helped with the food most of the time. we had one non member we invited come, he stayed with the elders so that was good! and so it could have been more non members... but it was still sssssssoooooooo awesome!!!

during ward council, president brock. he is a bigger guy and he is just a tank basically haha we have chips left over from the festival and someone said to use chips instead of bread for the sacrament.. as a joke haha pres brock said that if it happened to him he'd say "What?!? No Bread?? A Chip!?" hahaha oh my if only i could say it for yall!! so dang funny!!!! so in the sistermilnepedia i think it would be funny! hahahhaha

We watched the leadership conference! OH MY GOSH!! so awesome!! i cant wait till missionaries get technology to use! we heard a rumor about us getting ipads?? that is just to sick to handle!! well that is all the major events for this week! sorry its sooo long!!!

Woah, what a week!

HEY there!!

 

What a week it has been! what a week! seriously a ton has happened! my planner and journal is full of stuff to remember! CRAZY!! So ok first of all, this week i tried to only say thanks when i pray, in my personal prayers. So awesome! there are so many things to be thankful of in this world! so many!!!! and after a while i started saying thanks for things smaller and things i wouldnt normally say thanks for. then they started getting deeper! woah! haha so this upcoming week my prayers are going to be oober long! ahh! hahaha good i love praying! unless i fall asleep.... ok confession time. i do it all the time! nooo!! :( mainly right before i go to bed! im kneeling on the floor onto my bed then im gone! ahh! no! so that is the challenge of the millennium! hahaha dont fret young ones, all will be well eventually!! ok story time! yay!

We contacted into a guy and a woman. she was washing her car and he was smoking weed... (bad bad bad!) so we go up and talk to them! they said they weren't interested, so we walked away. sister garten really wanted to share a scripture with them. so. we. went. back. awkward? maybe. but we did! and then zach is his name, was like "wait ya'll are the mormons??" and we're like yep :) and he just started asking us questions. we just testified of BoM. but than 2 more guys come out of the house! michael and kay! they took BoMs also!! and they invited us back! Zach told us though that he was going to have a list of questions to grill us! eek! we just said bring it on!.... we dont remember who said that.... hahahhhaa so awesome though! ok so the next day. we brought a convert named Michelle Davis! she is awesome!! and we go there and they invited us in, michael, zach, and pamela were there. and they went off!! we started with a prayer, then they just started asking a bunch of questions! they had done a lot of research online and read BoM a little. so they asked us everything! from polygamy, to blacks having the priesthood, and from baptisms for the dead, to magical underwear!! so many questions! i dont even remember half of what we 3 said! we're so glad sis davis was there. she used to be baptist! so she had a lot of questions like these before she was baptized!! so we all answered the questions best we could, read a lot out of the scriptures. testified on what was true. told them what was false doctrine. zach was really into being sealed for all eternity! his heart is being softened, he is just a really hard shell and wont admit it! he is a white guy with dreads and tatoos, with a zoromite accent! he is a softy though, he said that he has a lot of respect for us. because not any other religion goes around doing this! and its hot outside! haha he is so sweet! we love him!!! michael wanted to learn more though! yay! he asked lots of questions too! so after we left, we realized how blessed we were to have sis davis with us! she answered questions me and sis g had not a clue on how to answer!! not ganna lie, we were really nervous before that lesson. like scared! oh another thing zach said was that he was taking it easy on us since we're so young.... haha so nice! ill acept that! take it easy! listen to us testify! woo!

Gabriel is this kid who reminds me alot like my brother ben... freaky! same age, same love for soccer! so adorable too! ah! he wants to know more! his older sister wants to feed us food, she isnt interested but she really wants to feed us. like REALLY wants to feed us! oviously were to skinny for our own good... ;) umm we went to a members house and they had a ton of fish tanks! funny, there last name is Fish hahaha! but she started breast feeding in front of us... awkward alittle. but she is soooo nice! and their kids are sooo cute! love the Fishes!! love them!!! we got a new gator who is a lesbian... this is going to be interesting. her name is angie and she is so amazing! she used to be into drugs and stuff like. deep into it. than she got out and has been clean for 22 years! she is so strong!!

 

ok all this has happened in 2 days. on thursday we went back to teach michael. this time we brought another member who served her mission in england, sister sarah brown. and aparently sis brown was michaels teacher... weird! but we taught the plan of salvation! he had read some of the BoM and had questions for us! he did pray a little about it too! yay!! zach was there also. even though we didnt know he was going to be. he asked some questions too! they were really concerned if we believed in Hell or not. and not being with your family if you were bad and what not. so we did what we did the first time. we read lots of scriptures and testified. haha oh last time we were there, when we walked in they're like "everyone there going to give their presentation!" i said "what! we did not come prepared! we need to have a poster board or something!" they laughed hahaha so this time (the second time we were inside their house, and the 3 time we've talked to them) i had brought pictures to give a visual with the plan of salvation! after we had prayed i said. "now wait, we have a presentation! tada!!" then i laid it out! hahahhaa they were laughing for a while! zach was like "wow pamela! they have a presentation!!!" haha funny guys! so we taught them and invited them to church. michael said he'd come and zach didn't :( he will someday we know it!)

 

We biked to church on friday. we were going to play soccer with a bunch of members and non members. so we biked. worst. idea. ever.  needless to say. we walked up every hill! haha i was disgusting!! after we got there, and we changed into gym clothes i took a pic of shade shirt...its dark grey...  when i send in my memory card again you'll see it... ewwe! hahahaha sis garten has started calling me elder milne when i sweat alot. hahahaahaha we're so funny together! soo sarcastice! i love it!! but biking? na awefull idea. so fun fact about the people down in tallahassee florida. men dont wear shirts! simple fact! doesn't matter what you look like. its just too hot to wear clothes! haha and girls barely wear anything! so people feel real bad when they see us.. hahaha but its kind of awkward when people answer the door half naked! hahah a lot of our gators don't wear clothes! im glad we have that option to shake hands :) OH! Michael actually came to church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he Loved it!!! he is 23 so he went to the singles ward. we would give him to the singles ward missionaries, but he just lives really far away and he doesn't have a car. and the campus missionaries dont have cars :/ so we get to teach him!! yay!!! Freddrick is still MIA! both Kim still hasn't come to church :P but they will!!

So this week seems pretty legit right? but i made some huge mistakes! like i asked gabriel to be baptized, with out permission! i totally forgot! crap! i feel do-gon aweful! yuck! so when we go back over ill need to apologize to his sister. (she has custody over him) than pamela asked if we were christian! in my head i mixed up christian and catholic. so i said no. than sis g said yes! they said what? so i said sorry, we're chrisitan.! when we came back pamela asked why we said we weren't christian! i said it was a mistake and sis g said we're not perfect and we make mistakes, but we're christian. no doubt about it. so that was an idiot moment. i still feel so guilty for both of those!! soooo baaaddd!!! ahh! sometimes i make the worst mistakes i think... the worst!!! soooo saad! boooo >:(

 

but that was it for the big event that i want to share hahahaha hope all it well with yall! can you believe its almost july! ahh!! woohoo! party it up this summer! Dont forget to pray and always share the gospel with your friends and neighbors! then have the missionaries help you teach them :) tada!

17 Letter!!! Woah there crazys

Hey everyone who reads these strange emails...

 

first of all go look up the song "its time to fight" by the jacksons. there is this couple in the ward that wrote it and sang that! so goo loookk itt up for mee! haha This week has gone by so fast but seemed like sooo much has happened! i have soo much to say! hahah ok so first of all. after i emailed last week all us sisters here (6 of us) and a bunch of elders (14 of them) went and played ultimate football! crazy awesome! we all got super gross and sweaty! then it rained! ahh! so awesome!! hahaha it was so much fun!! we had to hurry and change though and go to an apointment. so i change and come out, and sis G laughs SO hard! i apparently hadn't stopped sweating! she says that i sweat like an Elder.. so thats our new thing to say. "You sweat like an elder." ok jk she just says that to me! haha so everyone look out! i sweat. a lot.... hahahaha we met with freddrick again this week. actuallly a few times. ugh... freddrick... ill talk about him later.

 

we got this new investigator his name is gabriel, he is 14 almost 15, plays soccer, and is such a boy. he reminds me a lot of my brother ben...... weird! alright so I'm looking through my planner and i don't have much to say. but i feel like SO much has happened!!  oh my gosh how could i forget!! ok  so we went to teach this woman we contacted into. her name is Kim, she has 4 kids and a boyfriend. she wants to be baptized!!!!! we are going to have to push her date back though because she didn't come to church yesterday. actually everyone we invited didn't show up yesterday :( SAD DAY! but anyway! when we finished the lesson she was like, Woah. that is a lot! so haha we will go back and slow down and review and such. but she wants to be baptized! woop woop!! then.. haha this is where it gets funny. we have another investigator named Kim! so kim#2 (we haven't figured out their last names eek!) and She wants to be baptized also! ahhh! july 6! she is going through a hard time, with deaths in the familiy, and cancer and such. so its sad! the first lesson we had with her, we talked about the Plan of Salvation. originally we had restoration. but it got switched! crazy how it happened! she was crying during the lesson! it was a wow moment! she lives next to miss rosia and keonna. and michael, raniky, ayana, miss betty. so its in the pot hood. thats what we call that area. the pot hood! but Kim#2 is so sweet! she is engaged to brandon, he is willing to learn also. and they were moving stuff around while we were talking to kim#2. but every time he walked past us, he would smile at her and touch her shoulder or her face. and she would smile and just light up! it was sooo cute!! they are so cute together!! haha but she wants to be baptized!!!!!!!!ahhhh!!!!!! thats 3 solid people that want to get baptized!

 

Then Keonna. (miss rosias daughter) Keonna and her boyfriend Andrew wanted to learn. Keonna got taught a lesson and wants to be baptized! but last week we went by, and it wasnt a good time. Andrew had just gotten murdered! waatttt!!! murdered! crazy! so they are just really busy, but we want to teach them soo bad! Plan of Salvation!!!!! its like this is the month for weddings and deaths.... Plan of Salvation Month! woop Woop!!

So Freddrick... idk what to say! umm. we lost him. literally lost. like   fell off the face of the earth! we cant find him, he isnt answering our calls or texts. hes just gone! the last time we saw him it was raining. he had just gotten the 24 hour eviction notice, and it was the breaking point. we had gotten boxes for him to help him move. we dropped them off and talked for a few minutes! his two kids are here. Fred and i cant remember the girls name, so freddrick female junior ;) 14 and 15 yrs old. Freddrick was on the verge of tears! he is trying sooo hard! it hurts to look at him when he's so upset because it makes me cry. so we told him people he should call, and what he needs to do to help. read BoM, Pray, and make the phone calls. he did them all! but then he was supposed to call someone else and he didn't. and that was it. he's gone! we have been texting and calling. he responded once, and  we went to the hotel they were at, but the front desk wouldn't tell us if they were there or not.. :( we seriously pulled out our stalker skills. so as of right now his baptism is put on hold. He needs to be found. He needs to call us. He needs to find a house, and a job. He needs to call us! ahhhh!!!! its so frustrating!!!!!  so that is whats happening with freddrick! he is MIA at the moment... lol he'll call. i know he will.. he has to.. ahh Freddrick! where art thou freddrick!! he picked the date to be baptized so he'll come back up this week. or else imma beat him with the gospel!

 

So ya know that prophetess/preacher woman? well she is back and getting married... today actually! weird! hahaha and we met this couple who became new gators who are getting married also! hmm. we bought pizza one night this week because we had no dinner and there was nothing that sounded good at home. and the guy said to the other woman in the back that he is making a fresh pizza for the ladies of God! it just made me realize, when i heard that. that people notice us! and  they do watch us. it was so sweet! Zone conference was so good! pres and sis J are leaving soon. :( so sad!! so this was a real good conference! here are some questions to ask yourselves How do you become a disciple? we want to see the savior in our reflection. be a disciple of Christ! as a missionary im a representative. of Christ! i need to do the things in which He would do. thats tough sometimes... but we need to all be disciples. and we need to be celestial disciple!! we need to exercise the atonement! because it is real. the atonement. is. real. its real!! ahhhhh! haha the atonement makes us change and become closer to Christ. Follow Christ. He is so flippen amazing! we should all follow him! he will lead us to true happiness. and i dont know about y'all, but i love being happy!! not sad or mad. but happy! and i know that when we do what Christ would have us do, and if we do His will, not our own will, we will be happy! so my challenge to y'all is to take one hour and be a celestial disciple of Christ, follow him! one hour! then report it back to Heavenly Father! awesome awesome!! So im trying to get better at declaring repentance! you need to repent! ahha! scary a little still, but im progressing.. lol ;)

2 days ago was a crazy nature day! no joke, nature at its fullest! i saw a blue salimander, a millino lizards, a cat trying to catch a snake, about a zillion squirrls! dogs, cats. oh my nature! what a day! hahahah well that is all for now folks. Im striving to be the best, i had a minor set back. but fear not for i am in full swing! and have gained more muscle so my swing is more powerful and forcefull!! hope all is well in... not tallahassee haha! 16th Letter!!

Hey everyone! haha

This past week has been a trip! that's for sure!! we washed our car this last week and it flooded our trunk... so that sucks! we had to throw some stuff away... I officially suck at role plays! like for realsy! like in front of other missionaries i should say. i choke up and freeze! its like when i have to give a talk, i freeze and blurt things out! so embarrassing! blaah! this week was also a LONG week. :P but when im looking back on it, a ton of stuff happened!! first of all, i just want to let all yall know that our investigator Freddrick Walker picked his own BCD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOOO! june 18!! its a tuesday. so its a wee bit different but HE picked it himself! its his moms birthday! Cute huh!! Freddrick is 33 has dreads and lives in a neighborhood that hates us! he is a cook too! oh my he is so awesome I LOVE HIM! he has had such a Hard Life! if any of yall are having moments of poor me. write me and ill tell you bout his life. CrAzY! But he wants to get baptized!! yayayayayyayayyyy!! he has come to church 5x and loves it! hahaha i love sitting next to him in church, he says the funniest things and makes the funniest faces! in gospel principals the ac turned on.(it makes an expolding noise when it turnes on.) and his face was scared! hahaha i busted up giggling. trying to be quiet but his face was priceless! Then we met this woman named Dorris. she was drunk when we met her and so she told us of her childhood and how right now she needs to change her life because she isnt worthy of Gods help. Ok first of all her childhood is traumatizing! never will i forget it... (shivers) so we went the next day to her house! she was sober, she remembered we were coming and had tried to read! she is so legit! she is 63 i believe! so many people down here dont look their age! its hard to give an estimate. but we're really good at getting close to their ages! but Dorris is so awesome! we're going over again on thursday! woop woop! Then one time this week we got a phone call from a woman in jacksonville, she needed help with something! someone gave her our number to call, she was crying and saying how she is about to live in the woods and has to have 2 more surgerys, etc. Woah! we were on the phone with her for 30 mins... longest phone call of our lives! so sad, we gave her info to the jacksonville missionaries, so hopefully they will find her and be able to teach her! but it was a shocker that phone call was. Then we had a lesson with a less active Mollie Dodd and she was crying during our whole lesson! we did all we could for her, (give her the gospel) it was really sad!! Ok then we have 3 gators named Dominique, jacoby and Bj! we went to go see them and only found jacoby but he was telling us how they were heroes! they saved 3 people from a burning house! he had a video of the house burning! it was crazy! there was like 5 people asleep in the house that didn't know it was on fire! they honked for a while then jumped in and woke them up and got them out! crazy right?? then the next day they were on the news! we know this because we called them to see if they'd be coming to church and he told us hahaa Heroes! crazy awesome crazy awesome!! alright one more story, so we went to go see a less active man named richard dean. he was a referral. his wife died 21 years ago and he turns 87 today actually!  he is the sweetest cutest old man ever! we called before hand and he said he'd be home all day! so we go, his house is adorable! its green and the sidewalk and driveway is blue, than he has gnomes everywhere! haha and he is building a fountain fish pool thing with a naked mermaid on top... awkward.. but! he was sleeping when we got there then we woke him up haha and sat outside! he was talking away! he lived a full life and can't complain because he loved his life! he is ready to die! he is just waiting for the Lord to call him lol. sweet old man! he helped get the first man around the world and to the moon! how cool is that!!!!!!!!!! then we were leaving and i shook his hand and he just pulled me in for a hug!... i had no idea what to do... so me and sis garten got hugged my an 87 yr old man. i was laughing sooo hard! what were we supposed to do! like there was no way to stop it! hahahhahaha sis garten felt real bad afterwards but i was just laughing! hhahahahahaha. oh my funny funny man! he is the cutest old man alive! and he is very active! his saying that I LOVE is as follows

hahahhahahaha Love it! OH! so yesturday (sunday) we went to try and go see keonna and miss rosia! they were there! keonna was getting her hair done! they do there hair way different here! its awesome, its like extentions but they braide it into their hair and leave it there for a long time. so we were there for that! and the woman doing her hair said that she could do mine!! whaaaat?? Flip yeah!! hahaha so look out, you might be seeing me with crazy hair! i actually love black peoples hair down here! Love it! i would love to have it. im just white and so it might look a little weird on me... oh well! hahaha no one to impress here! this week was definetly a funny movie week! i laughed alot on the inside and outside. mostly inside though. It was a week. phew! not gonna lie, im happy its PDAY! but i wish i could go back and relive moments so i can laugh harder at them hahahha oh dear! there were a lot of people crying this week. not sure why.... but i just laughed at it! well until next week! if you dont hear from me, im probably dead... jk jk, oh! its getting hotter and more humid :( its awful! but im getting pretty sick tan lines and using a lot of sunscreen. whats up with that?!? oh my if only yall could see and be here to experience all the many  wonders of florida and the people here. so awesome! awkward sometimes but awesome!
